Gwen Stefani is bouncing back from a turbulent 2015 with the best of them. While channeling her inner Marilyn, Stefani released a ‘live music video’ in partnership with Target that aired on a commercial break during the Grammy’s. It can only be assumed that the song is in reference to her romance with The Voice judge Blake Shelton (whose team she will be a mentor for on the upcoming season of the show.) In the video she’s seen making a dozen sort-of costume changes and roller skating around an old school rink before being lifted in the air in true Marilyn Monroe style.
The song has a ‘I’m Just a Girl’ feel to it that opens the wounds of No Doubt moving on without her but it catchy nonetheless and has found its way to number 8 on the iTunes Top Song Charts right under Adele’s All I Ask and Zayn Malik’s Pillowtalk. Her album, This is What the Truth Feels Like is available for pre-order now and is expected for release March 18.
