Song of the Week: How to be a Heartbreaker- Marina and the Diamonds

A Tuesday song of the week from Marina and the Diamonds. This song, off her2012 release Electra Heart, is one I just come back to every so often and felt like sharing with you!  Marina and the Diamonds (AKA Marina Diamondis) is a welsh singer songwriter with growing popularity globally since she began her career in 2005. She has said this of her stage name in the past, “I created the name ‘Marina and the Diamonds’ 5 years ago and I never envisaged a character, pop project, band or solo artist. I saw a simple group made up of many people who had the same hearts. A space for people with similar ideals who could not fit in to life’s pre-made mold. I was terribly awkward for a long time! I really craved to be part of one thing because I never felt too connected to anybody and now I feel I have that all around me.”

Similarly to many artists gaining traction in the last few years the idea of a stage name/alter ego has touched many and really Marina and the Diamonds has fallen into exactly what Diamondis wanted it to be. Her newest release Froot is available on most platforms including streaming!

With that being said this is How to be a Heartbreaker from Electra Heart.
